 Description

Currently the eholdings app allows a library to indicate if it has access to the resource or not. This feature will allow libraries to manage resources (packages and title-package) not just by holding status but by acquisition/access type(s).

Access Types (examples)

  • Subscribed
  • Purchased with perpetual access
  • Trial
  • Temporary access such as Evidence based selection, Patron driven acquisition, etc
  • Post cancellation access and similar

This feature will support allowing a library

  • on Settings: configure a list of access types to choose from on a package or title-package record in eholdings app
  • on eholdings Package/Title+Package record: Assign an access type to a package or title

What Chalmers needs to go live is a way to indicate the “access type” of a specific resource, such as:

  • Subscribed
  • Purchased with perpetual access
  • Trial
  • Temporary access such as Evidence based selection, Patron driven acquisition, etc
  • Post cancellation access and similar
For us, these are granular statuses rather than workflows.

We are not sure how "renewals" fits in here.

Lars-Håkan Herbertsson - apologies I was in a rush and did not review my notes. I will revise feature based on above comments and my notes.

Hi Khalilah Gambrell, this is tagged for Q2 and there are no estimates

Moved to Q3 2019 and I need to update description.

Note - work will begin in Q2 2019 but may take Q3 to complete. Depends on progress with filter results by tags.
