 Description

Overview: Metadata source in FOLIO Instance's view and edit screens should have identical labels, e.g. folio, local, or defined by the library, e.g. UC (for uChicago)

In FOLIO Testing and Snapshot, Snapshot stable, Q4 Bugfest environment, the labels are not used consistently. This is to be improved when implementing:

  1. Load of data through Data Import -> SRS -> Inventory/MARCcat
  2. Storage of MARC records in SRS
  3. Data flow between MARCcat -> SRS -> Inventory
  4. Data flow between Order -> Inventory -> SRS -> MARCcat

Charlotte Whitt is this a bug? I see it is tagged with bugfest_q42018 but it is filed as a story and is not written as a bug (nor as a story, for that matter).

Also, is this a duplicate of UIIN-427 Closed ?

Oh, okaaaaay. I just read the comments of UIIN-427 Closed . It does seem to me these are duplicates and one should be closed. I'd actually keep the other one because it does a better job of describing the problem.

Hi Cate Boerema, okay, then I'll change this UIIN-STORY into a UXPROD story, because it's important to have this consistency implemented for all dataflows across Inventory, SRS, MARCcat:

  1. Load of data through Data Import -> SRS -> Inventory/MARCcat
  2. Storage of MARC records in SRS
  3. Data flow between MARCcat -> SRS -> Inventory
  4. Data flow between Order -> Inventory -> SRS -> MARCcat

All the associated stories are closed by now; therefore I will close it as done.
