 Description

Purpose: There are a number of value lists that need to be hardcoded initially in acquisitions modules. However, some will now be converted to Controlled Vocabularies.

High Level Requirements:

Dennis Bridges, this one is needed by Chalmers to go-live and it doesn't have a dev team or a fix version. Is that intentional?

Comment by Dennis Bridges [ 05/Dec/18 ]

Hi Cate Boeremaactually I set this incorrectly. This was split off another issue and shouldn't be required by Chalmers as they aren't using the finance module. I have adjusted the setting for now. However should I be leaving these blank on split issues to signal to the libraries that they need to review them?

Thanks Dennis Bridges. Yes, the early implementers specifically asked that we not set rankings on split features. They don't mind doing the extra work to rank the issues themselves. Thanks!

Which hardcoded values are being converted to Controlled Vocabularies?

Comment by Dennis Bridges [ 27/Mar/19 ]

Scott Perry Currently the only "Hardcoded" values in finance, as per the spreadsheet in the description are;
ledger_status Active, Inactive, Frozen
fund_status Active, Inactive, Frozen
budget_status Active, Frozen, Closed
The goal is to implement things like "Category" as controlled vocabularies. However, user stories have not yet been defined for these as it isn't clear wether they will need to be hardcoded values initially or can simply be controlled vocabularies from the beginning. As work on finance has been on hold. These stories have yet to be defined.

Note: The fix version of this feature was changed to Q4 2019. Releasing the progress made on this feature in Q3 would have resulted in breaking changes to other FOLIO modules. Thus, all progress made on this feature will officially be release in Q4 2019.
