Purpose: Users require the ability to order packages of titles. These package contents will be detailed outside of the order record. Eg. in inventory or ERM modules.

High Level Requirements:

  • Add Dropdown for "Create Inventory" at PO Line level
  • Options will include but not be limited to: Container, Instance, None
  • Selecting "Container" will result in a container being created for the PO lIne in inventory
  • Selecting "None" will result in nothing being created in inventory to represent the PO Line
  • Ordering a package will require specific fields (TBD)

Dennis Bridges, what is the development team for this? Please update in JIRA and then have Hkaplanian update the dev team in the cap plan. Thanks!

Dennis Bridges What does this mean for the work being done in MODORDERS-178 Closed ? Here's my take:

poLIne.physical.createInventory (String)

  • "Instance, holding, item" (default)
  • "Instance, holding"
  • "Instance"
  • "Container"
  • "None"

poLIne.eresource.createInventory (String)

  • "Instance, holding, iem"
  • "Instance, holding" (default)
  • "Instance"
  • "Container"
  • "None"

Most of what we have above is handled in the aforementioned story, the only thing that's new is adding the "Container" option/enum value, and once inventory supports containers, making the necessary calls to create them upon order transition to "Open"

Craig McNally It's is possible that "item details" may need to differ slightly to accommodate container/packages. I would see those adjustments being captured here as well. In the mean time, as MODORDERS-178 Closed didn't have a feature link I have connected the two here.

Dennis Bridges ok, I'd like to discuss details on this

Craig McNally I will add this to tomorrows meeting agenda. But at a high level it is in reference to things like Package name vs Title.
