 Description   

Review of Inventory database index configuration and appropriate tuning for the following search and sort indexes:

1. Fulltext search for scalar fields:

  • title

2. Fulltext search for repeatable fields

  • creators
  • subjects

3. Identifier (exact) search fields:

  • instance ID
  • barcode (requires data join support)
  • identifiers (ISBN/ISSN)
  • language filter/facet
  • resource type filter/facet
  • location filter/facet (requires data join support)

This item is specific to Inventory but builds on general work in Q3 and Q4, namely:

Removing the rankings for this, as it is an NFR and doesn't need rankings (I guess the NFR label must have been added after the rankings were applied). Rankings were "go-live" for Chalmers, Chicago, Cornell and Bremen.
