 Description

When in quick succession you check in an item, check it out again and go to the loan details page then loan details page initially fails to load.

Steps to reproduce:
Perform the following steps without pausing.
1. Go to the Check out app, and check out item A to user 1
2. Click the three dots to go to the Loan details page. Verify that the loan details page has loaded correctly with expected data present.
3. Go to the Check in app, and check in item A
4. Go to the Check out app, and now check out item A to user 2
5. Again click the three dots to go to the Loan details page. Verify that the loan details page has loaded correctly with expected data present.

Expected result: That the loan details page has loaded correctly with expected data present.

Actual result: Several pop up error messages appear on the screen. After you've clicked Ok to close them, one by one, the loan details page finally loads. However, all expected data is not present. Under Loan policy, there is only a dash, indicating that the field is empty. After you reload the page, all the data is correctly displayed, including Loan policy "Standard loan". In the network tab in developer tools, you can see failed requests to the loan-policies and requests endpoint. It does not matter whether you check the item out to another user or to the same user again.

The behavior is exactly the same as in UIU-1653 Closed , but the actions that produce it (seemingly) different.

Variation happening in Goldenrod - ERROR: Cannot read property 'status' of undefined.

Kelly Drake I think the error in that screenshot is being addressed in UIU-1802 Closed . Not sure what to do with the error reported in this ticket - haven't seen it on snapshot/testing since UIU-1653 Closed was closed.

Lisa Sjögren - do you want to merge this with https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UIU-1802?

Comment by Lisa Sjögren [ 25/Aug/20 ]

Kelly Drake No, they seem like different issues to me. In this issue ( UIU-1800 Closed ), there actually is a clear pattern – as detailed in the description – for when the loan page fails to load. Plus, the page doesn't actually crash here – the Loan details page loads after you've clicked all the error popups.

UIU-1802 Closed looks much more similar to UIU-1653 Closed and UIU-1652 Closed .

support sig - Zak Burke will try to reproduce.

Emma Boettcher and Zak Burke, we had aimed to groom this on Friday, but I see it still has no points. Did we fail to discuss it or was there a decision to hold off on pointing for some reason?

Closing this - I think the fix for UIU-1653 Closed fixed this as well, since it's no longer presenting on snapshot. Since this was a support ticket, let me know if there's anything else I need to do Anya
