 Description

Overview: Request details "update" section caret not working properly

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Log into FOLIO-snapshot-stable as diku_admin
  2. Go to Requests
  3. Click on an existing request to view the request details
  4. Click on the caret next to "update" at the top of the record, to open the create/update details
  5. Problem also shows up when you click edit on the request details page and then click the caret next to update

Expected Results: Should open a larger section showing the update date/time and user, and the create date/time and user

Actual Results: Caret changes, but no additional details displayed

Additional Information: See attached video

This is not a bug per se; neither the description in UIREQ-64 Closed nor the wireframes specified any metadata to be displayed beyond "record last updated". I can add the fields that appear in the inventory app, though.

Thanks Matt Connolly. Adding Cate Boerema to the conversation. I think the "created/updated' component is a standard one that should be easy to implement. If you prefer not to, then maybe just get rid of the caret, so that there's no way to try to open/close that one line of update info. Seems to have been built in FOLIO-592 Closed , and is referenced in UX-39 Closed , UIIN-96 Closed , UIIN-99 Closed for examples. Looks like it's called the "record metadata component"

Yep, it's a standard component and we want this record metadata on pretty much every FOLIO record now. That said, you are right that, if this wasn't specified in a story, it's not technically a bug. Tagging Tania Fersenheim as a heads up to include scenarios for this next time.

I'll just change this to a user story for proper accounting of bugs vs enhancements.

I'll get this user story written up. It's related to UIREQ-66 Closed , UIREQ-67 Closed and UIREQ-68 Closed
