Release: R2 2021 Bugfix
Affected Institution:
Cornell, MI State University/Library of Michigan
Tester Assignee: Charlotte Whitt
Epic Link: Create, close, cancel, Purchase Orders

 Description

Overview: When using the title look-up feature on a POL to link the POL to an existing instance, the language filter is not functioning. Any time you select a language in the filter, all search results disappear, even if the same selection in the Inventory app produces results.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Log into https://bugfest-iris.folio.ebsco.com/
  2. Open the Inventory app and search for 'medicine'.
  3. Filter results to Language = English.
  4. Notice the number of results returned.
  5. Now, open the Orders app and create an order.
  6. Add a POL and click the title lookup button.
  7. Search for 'medicine'.
  8. Filter to English.

Expected Results: You will achieve the same result set from Inventory in step 4.
Actual Results: All results are cleared, no matching results display.
Additional Information: Initially reported by Michigan State on their test and production tenants (Iris HF #1). Reproduced on Iris Bugfest tenant.

Also adding : Example: the "Vendor" filter appears to work in the "Orders" segment, but not the "Order lines" segment. Search on any active vendor in the "Orders" segment, and appropriate results are returned. A search on the same vendor in the "Order lines" segment yields no results.

Anya this is actually an issue with the lookup plugin that is part of the inventory app. However, Thunderjet should be able to fix it.

Secondly, searching POLs by vendor is actually a different module than this issue so I can duplicated the bug. Is this a high priority for them for Iris? It seem to have been resolved in the Juniper release already. thx

Hi Dennis Bridges, looks like the issue was fixed in https://folio-org.atlassian.net/browse/UIPFI-19

Comment by Dennis Bridges [ 09/Jul/21 ]

Anya or Molly Driscoll just asking on more time. This issue has been resolved in Juniper. If they can live without until then I will resolve it as a duplicate. thx!

Work as not expected on the https://bugfest-juniper.folio.ebsco.com/

It is necessary to define how improvement should be filtered.

Manual test in FOLIO Snapshot, version @folio/plugin-find-instance 5.1.100082, using Chrome.

All looks good, and this is ready to Await release.

Dennis Bridges - yes this will be in R2 Bugfix release.
Molly Driscoll - I did the manual test in FOLIO Snapshot.
