 Description

Overview:

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Log intohttp://folio-testing.aws.indexdata.com as User diku_admin
  • Go to Settings > Organization - Locale...
  • Notice that the text over the drop down locale selector is an untranslated string.
  • Change locale from Danish to English - United states
  • Notice that the text changes to english "Select locale for rendering dates, etc."
  • After a second or so, the value of the locale is changed back to Danish in the dropdown.
  • Notice that the text over the drop down selector is still in english
  • Log out.
  • Notice that the welcoming text is in English for a second until it changes back to danish.

Expected Results: Locale is changed

Actual Results: Danish seem to be, or become, the default locale some how.

Additional Information: It seems to be something in the front end. When i hit F12, I cannot see any requests sent to the server that asks for a new locale.

Yep, there's definitely something weird going on here. I made a quick screencast: https://www.screencast.com/t/ctkhFd1rGmk

I'll move this to ui-organization, as I think that's the right place for this.

BTW, Theodor, you should be aware that we currently don't have translations for FOLIO (just a few German strings here and there). So when you are testing locale, the thing to look at is date and time format. I'll add this to the FOLIO context on the wiki.

Closing as a dup of uiorg-38
