Hi Theodor Tolstoy (One-Group.se) - the list in the Edit view of the Item record, data element Material type, here the terms are expected to be populated in alphabetic order.

The current solution is phase 1. Later we'll implement list of categorized terms - see UIIN-152 Blocked .

Manual test in FOLIO Snapshot, https://folio-snapshot.aws.indexdata.com/, version @folio/inventory 1.8.1000486, using Chrome.

The list of Material type in the item record is now in alphabetic order. All looks good, and I'll close this story.
