Problem: While I could save the ennumeration data in an item record, I'm not actually sure what's supposed to go into each text box. (What is meant by distinguishing between volumes and enumeration? Years, captions and chronology?) Solution: Provide additional clarity around how each field should be used. T3201: Ennumeration Data |

Mark Veksler - I'll close this as a bug, while catalogers they are familiar with how to use these elements. But that said, when we get to have the UI provided with a solution/a tool where we can add element description by using pop up/activate an 'eye' icon, then we definitely can improve the UI with help text added for each element. Maybe Khalilah Gambrell and her team has some suggestions for how this can be implemented FOLIO wide. So I'll close this old bug report (19/Sep/19) as 'Won't do' for you specific questions re. Enumeration, Chronology, Volume, Caption and then we'll look into a more general solution for providing help texts for all data elements. Sounds okay with you? |
