 Description

UICR-101 Closed uncovered a permission tweak that needs to be done in the Courses app to resolve an intermittent issue with the display of temporary loan types.

A user who does not have the permission inventory-storage.loan-types.item.get will see loan type UUIDs in the Courses app instead of loan type labels.

Adding inventory-storage.loan-types.item.get to ui-courses.add-edit-items looks like it should resolve the issue.

Charlotte Whitt here is the story for fixing the permission. I tagged it as ui-only since I think it should be trivial to address. I also put Thor on as the team, but please remove it if that wasn't appropriate. Thanks.

Given the existence of the workaround, I think this is something that can happen in Nolana or even Orchid, tbh

Verified at Snapshot environment:
1) User with one of the following permissions will see "Temporary loan type" name:
Courses: Add and edit courses' reserved items
Courses: Add, edit, and remove courses' reserved items
Courses: All permissions.
See attached screencast: UICR-157_name.webm

2) User with the following permissions will see "Temporary loan type" UUID:
Courses: Read all
Courses: Read, add, and edit courses
Courses: Read, add, edit, and delete courses
Settings (Courses): Can create, edit and delete course settings
See attached screencast: UICR-157_uuid.webm

Hi Erin Nettifee
could you please verify: Is this described behavior expected?

Tested on Snapshot, works as expected. Closing ticket as done.
