The "thanks" page is probably the most appropriate. Maintain a list of organisations and their logo details at _data/thanks.yml Process the array so that a random item is first, followed by the remainder. |

Peter Murray is this suitable? |

Just checking – is this coming from a particular need or request? I don't remember hearing about this, although it sounds like a great idea. |

Ah, I see – I wasn't watching that issue. Fixed that. Your plan for including the logos on the "thanks" page makes sense to me. I wonder if we want to randomize three to put on the front page and link to the "thanks" page with more. I like that there is some reference to them on the front page, but with logos that size it would make it too big to include all of them. |

Yes, randomising a few to place on the front page could be implemented. The image dimensions could be part of the configuration file. Those large ones that you refer to will scale down okay. The hard parts are how to decide which organisations are depicted now and in the future, and obtaining the relevant images. |

An alternative would be that all "thanks" page and logos are at the Wiki, and we keep the dev.f.o site as simple as possible. |

I have gone ahead with adding an initial set of logos of some participating organisations to the dev site. Images are in the "/images/thanks-logos/" directory. The configuration is in the "_data/thanks.yml" file. The array of images is shuffled every time the site is built for deployment (not on every page view), a small random set is placed on the front page, and the full set is placed on the thanks page. I have obtained the initial logos from the net. If any organisation wants their one replaced or removed or new ones added, then please either do it directly or contact me. Trying to use about 150x150 dimensions. |

David Crossley: Can you back this out and leave it in a branch? I'd like the FOLIO marketing to look at this before we make it public. I think they will want to give us some guidance. |

See the branch build at folio-919-thanks-logos for the front page and the thanks page. |

Perfect – thank you. Assigning to me to follow-up with the Marketing group. |

I know that there are some particpants not yet listed. There is the accompanying FAQ how-to-add-thanks-logos. That might need some additional instructions. |

there are many logos missing here of OLE Partners, and of OLE itself. also we should give the OLF a space too. |

This was a topic on the marketing call today. This is going to be done on the main www.folio.org website, so I'm going to close this ticket to avoid duplication. |
