Cate Boerema Has Hkaplanian been in touch with you about this by any chance? The latest thinking is that such a page can be an extension of what you put together already for the sprint reviews.

I've looked at a couple of tools that gather statistics from GitHub, but they only capture a part of the overall picture. Such tools, for instance, wouldn't capture the names of designers and product owners on teams.

Feel free to take ownership of this issue or to get back in touch with me if you have questions.

We do already have the sections at dev.folio.org/community/#engineering-teams and
dev.folio.org/community/#subproject-core-teams which addresses part of this.

The latter does need updating. It is getting difficult in that format, with so many new repositories.

At a developers meeting with Cate and Jakub on Friday (the one Harry missed due to his travel woes) I bought up the directory. Jakub recommended that we can use JIRA to get info about the developers and what they are working on. The designers and product owners are in JIRA as well. We can export a spreadsheet from JIRA—I already know how to do this. (We will need to do some manipulation of the spreadsheet data, but it shouldn’t be too bad. This doesn’t help with Stacks and other groups not using the FOLIO JIRA. Cate gave with this list of groups working on FOLIO and a contract for getting more info:

· Stacks (Dennis)

· Frontside (K.G.)

· Qulto (Cate’s slide deck)

· UNAM (Harry/Holly)

· Mellon Team (Holly TBD)

· Core Team (JIRA or Cate’s slide deck)

· EBSCO Hosting Team (K.G.)

Cate also mentioned that she thinks Filip has a diagram showing what people are working on. I have emailed Filip to ask about this.

I have also contacted Sharon, the PC Chair, to see if the PC really cares who from Stacks is working on what. I think the point is just that Stacks is working on X, Frontside is working on Y, etc.

Comment from Product Council: it would be nice if this was on the wiki where links could be made to profiles on the wiki. That way readers can have more context about who the people are in the project.

Will do!

Hi PC. I have created a draft list of the development team at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tCEuMGe2RIsI5dAk_ATyBgzKkCQupgtLZX3HdCFavTc/edit?usp=sharing I basically took the slides from Cate’s sprint review slide deck and added placeholders for UNAM (I just emailed them asking for more information). I need to fill in the column about what each person is working on. This column will be difficult to keep up to date. It was easiest for me to create a spreadsheet, but this can be created as a wiki page or whatever is desired.
Best,
Holly

Subject: [product-c] Development Team Directory

Dear Product Council,

I have now incorporated the FOLIO Developer Directory into our wiki. There is a link within the Important Documents section. The direct link is https://folio-org.atlassian.net/wiki/display/COMMUNITY/FOLIO+Developer+Directory.
It is important that we all work together to keep this document updated. I believe Cate and Harry will be in the best position to know about changes. I noticed that Charlotte has already made some updates. Thanks for doing that! Anyone with wiki access should feel free to make changes directly--you don’t need to send the updates to me. If you have ideas for improving the directory, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks much,
Holly

P.S. I called this the FOLIO Developer Directory rather than the FOLIO Development Team Directory because I believe that the Development Team includes many more people, chiefly the SIG members. At the top of the page I am providing links to the PC and SIG wiki pages, where membership lists are provided. This isn’t my personal list, so I am open to whatever the PC wants to do. Think of this as a second draft. 

Why is this in review and showing up in the Jira testing list? Can it be closed?
