Hi Jakub Skoczen This is an open bug on the FOLIO Jira project, and it wasn't assigned to a particular dev team. I assigned Core Platform to it. Could you review and decide if it should be moved to a different project, or maybe just closed since it's pretty old? Thank you!

Ann-Marie Breaux from what I can tell from the issue description, the problem is related to mod-inventory-storage though there is not enough information regarding what the problem is. It might very well be specific to the environment.

Hello, I am sorry to put that in wrong project. there were a lots of sections so I was confused. I was trying to install folio on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS,

in Deploy a Folio Backend and enable for the tenant section in the document

After the command, I had mod-inventory-storage error. I guessed version of mod-inventory-storage does not match with a specific configuration. Do you have any idea to fix that?

Let me know what you need to know more about this issue, please.

Do you still have access to the environment you were building?

Given that the output from the install request to Okapi does not seem to include any details of the error (which I think could be unusual), it could be useful to try some other requests to get a better understanding of the error.

Who is responsible for that documentation?

Is it supported, given that it is considered a draft?

Comment by Andy Kim [ 01/Dec/21 ]

Jakub Skoczen I got the document from https://docs.folio.org/docs/getting-started/installation/singleserverwithcontainers/

Yes, Single server with containers is in draft status. Actually, Single server with containers, Single server without containers and Kubernetes are all in draft. That means it does not work Also, I will try to test again and post it this week.

Hi Jakub Skoczen and Marc Johnson

For Dev Team: do you want to assign Prokopovych, Other dev, or FOLIO DevOps? I don't have any preference, aside from needing to be owned by some team or another.

For Project: do you want to leave it in FOLIO or move it to some other project?

For Dev Team: do you want to assign Prokopovych, Other dev, or FOLIO DevOps?

I'm not comfortable with this being assigned to the Prokopovych team, as I don't understand what the expectations for the team would be.

I don't think it's appropriate for this team to support documentation that it had no involvement in.

Personally, I think the first line of support could be the folks that wrote the document.

For Project: do you want to leave it in FOLIO or move it to some other project?

I don't think we have another appropriate project.

Thanks, Marc Johnson I'm going to assign to Other Dev.

And Andy Kim if this resolves in your local system, please close this Jira, or ask me to do it. Thank you!

Ann-Marie Breaux Marc Johnson It's not clear to me who has the responsibility for maintaining docs.folio.org at the moment. If I am not mistaken, Ingolf Kuss has been volunteering at a couple occasions to fix things so maybe his willing to claim responsibility for doc.folio.org?

Comment by Marc Johnson [ 02/Dec/21 ]

According to the history, the document was mostly written by marciafolio (I don't know who they are or their real name).

Comment by Ingolf Kuss [ 03/Dec/21 ]
  1. I claim responsibiliy for the documentation. The note "is in draft status" is irrelevant and will be removed. The documentation should work and did work in my case.
  2. Andy Kim, I think this is not the right place to POST your error message. I agree with others saying above that it is not yet clear if this is a bug or specific to your environment. As long as it is not clear that it is a bug in mod-inventory-storage, please post to Slack channel #sys-ops or #support.
  3. To approach your issue, Andy Kim, please try a simulate run first:  curl -w '\n' -D - -X POST -H "Content-type: application/json" -d @okapi-install.json http://localhost:9130/_/proxy/tenants/diku/install?simulate=true\&preRelease=false
  4. Also, look in your okapi log what happens during the POST: sudo su; cd /var/log/folio/okapi; tail -99f okapi.log

Ingolf Kuss Thank you for joining this conversation.

As long as it is not clear that it is a bug in mod-inventory-storage, please post to Slack channel #sys-ops or #support.

I'm happy to be involved in those conversations if I can help.

Thank you for helping. I am sorry. I could not find the Slack chnnel. I looked at development team in Edit, but I cant find Slack. Could you give me URL, please?

Hi Andy Kim

Here's the Slack channel for sysops: https://folio-project.slack.com/archives/C9BBWRCNB
And for support: https://folio-project.slack.com/archives/C2BHMHCFJ

I'm going to close this Jira. If this is determined to be an environment or configuration issue, no bug will be needed. If it's determined to be a code bug, someone can create a new Jira with more details. Thank you!

Comment by Ingolf Kuss [ 03/Dec/21 ]

Andy Kim, you might need to create a Slack account. https://folio-project.slack.com/ . At least I cannot find your name in Slack search. Can someone assist ? ( I don't remember how I came to be able to use this account)
