From: Amazon Web Services, Inc. <no-reply-aws@amazon.com> Hello, Amazon EKS has deprecated Kubernetes version 1.16 and this version will no longer be supported on September 27, 2021. You can ignore any previous communication(s) that outlined July 25, 2021 as the end of support date for version 1.16. On September 27, 2021, you will no longer be able to create new 1.16 clusters and all EKS clusters running Kubernetes version 1.16 will be eventually updated to the latest available platform version of Kubernetes version 1.17. You are receiving this message because you currently have one or more EKS clusters in the US-WEST-2 Region running with Kubernetes version 1.16 which can be found listed below: arn:aws:eks:us-west-2:732722833398:cluster/folio-eks-2-us-west-2 We recommend that you update your 1.16 clusters to Kubernetes version 1.17 as soon as possible. To learn more on Kubernetes version support, see the Amazon EKS service documentation [1] If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to AWS Support [3] [1] https://docs.aws.amazon.com/eks/latest/userguide/kubernetes-versions.html Sincerely, Amazon Web Services, Inc. is a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc.
