 Description

Overview:

Persistent nag error about exceeded quota occurs whenever loading the RapidBoard view.

It can be dismissed but recurs whenever navigating back to a RapidBoard screen, such as sprint board, backlog or sprint reports from a non-RapidBoard page.

In sprint board mode, this partially obscures the `Complete Sprint` button.

In sprint report view, this partially obscures the Switch Report dropdown, including reducing the clickable area for selecting report selection.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open up any board (eg, via master board list, recently accessed list in Boards menu or direct URL)
  2. Dismiss nag error.
  3. Navigate to any other non-board page (eg, primary dashboard or Jira homepage)
  4. Open up any board.

Expected Results:

  • No nag error

Actual Results:

  • Nag error returns about exceeded quota

Additional Information:

I had to clear my site data from [chrome://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Fissues.folio.org%2F] to get rid of it. The reported usage went from 10MB (the max) to 271B after logging back in with new cookies.  As the usage data increase over time, I guess this will need to be reflushed.

Posting the workaround for others who may be getting the issue.

Hi Peter Murray This is an open bug on the FOLIO Jira project, and it's not assigned to a particular dev team. Could you review and decide if it should be moved to a different project, or maybe just closed since it's medium old? Thank you!

Closing with a note to the workaround provided by Atlassian: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/uncaught-quotaexceedederror-displays-in-browser-using-jira-server-762874705.html
