 Description

Steps to repro:

  1. Log into https://bugfest.folio.ebsco.com/
  2. Attempt to create a request for any user item combo

Expected: Should create or show error message explaining why it can't be created

Actual: Nothing happens (can't create)

See developer tools screenshot:

Additional info: We are also unable to create requests in snapshot but we have determined that that bug has a different (frontend) cause. See UIREQ-396 Closed for details on that issu

Cate Boerema, you can click the request with return code "500" and see what's the response error message. In this case, I got "Request policy 334e5a9e-94f9-4673-8d1d-ab552863886b could not be found, please check circulation rules"

Ah, I see. So I checked circ rules and saw the fallback request policy is a policy that doesn't exist. I guess this is a data migration thing because that shouldn't be possible to do via the UI:

I will try to manually repair the circ rules and request policies and report back.

Manually repaired circ rules and was able to create request. Thanks for helping to debug this Hongwei Ji. I will close this issue.
