John Malconian David Crossley I believe Hongwei will need access to Jenkins to complete this task, can you please gran it to him?

John Malconian gave me the permission. I created a job https://jenkins-aws.indexdata.com/job/Automation/job/folio-perf-platform/

Hongwei Ji This is perfect, kudos!

Some questions about the set up:

  • am I reading it right that the for each tests 10 requests are made? Are they made concurrently?

Some question about the performance results (attached):

  • what are "Get item barcodes" and "Load User Barcodes" tests?
  • there are errors in the POST check-in-by-barcode test, are those due to CIRC-225 Closed ?
  • check-out-by-barcode is the slowest test (~7s avg), the second slowest is "query items by barcode" (~3s) – it seems to me that the slowness of checkout-by-bardcode is to a large extent related to the slowness of "query items by barcode". Performance of "query items by barcode" was supposedly fixed in MODINVSTOR-247 Closed by Kurt Nordstrom. It looks like the fix has been either invalid or is not utlized.

Hi Jakub Skoczen, The tests were compiled by Eric Valuk for FOLIO-1771 Closed . From what I can see:

About the set up:

About the results:

  • "Get item data" and "Load User Barcodes" are part of test data preparation, just like "FOLIO-1757 Get test data".
  • The error in "check-in-by-barcode" is likely different from CIRC-225 Closed (timeout). It has "Response code: 422 Response message: Unprocessable Entity". I mentioned this to Eric yesterday, and we need look into that.
  • Yes, I agree we should verify the cause of barcode related slowness.
We will address those in FOLIO-1830 Closed .
