Sprint:

 Description

Need to test these using staff slips using different printers. Might need to consider separate style sheets for "regular" printers and receipt printers. Darcy is working with Chalmers to test this feature on their receipt printers.

Attached photos showing make and model of Chalmers' receipt printers used for print (or staff) slips throughout their library.

Attached above are the documents provided for Chalmers to test print-kiosk mode. Their report back said that it was not ideal, however, it does mostly work for their purposes. Their primary concern was that once a particular printer is setup for a particular browser and it's running in print-kiosk mode, then someone can't switch printers without shutting down print-kiosk mode or starting a new browser. They might need to do this because typically the same machine might be printing hold and/or transit slips, but periodically, they might need to print out a report to regular paper using a regular printer. They seemed to think they could work-around this by keeping one (or more) machine setup to print out receipts and another (or more) machine setup to print regular paper, or they could setup their primary check in machine to run in print-kiosk mode and another to run FOLIO in a browser without print-kiosk mode... that way they could select the printer they want to use on the fly.

Theodor Tolstoy (One-Group.se), can this be closed? The feedback I received seems to indicate that we have a solution that you can "live with," but that we should take another look at this soon after Q1.

Darcy Branchini and Theodor Tolstoy (One-Group.se) what are the next steps on this? It's in the development backlog but I am not sure if developer help is what is needed now. Seems like more of a testing effort.

Darcy Branchini this was in the Core Functional backlog. I unassigned it from that team. Might want to delete it at this point?
