 Description

Robert DeLuca wrote a document about his experiences making the eHoldings app accessible. This would be useful reading for other front-end developers, so it should be added to dev.folio.org.

David Crossley – I need some help thinking about where to add this to dev.folio.org. It has a conversational tone that reads like a blog post, and we don't have anything similar to that on the dev site now. This is too technical to go on the blog space of www.folio.org. The conversational narrative form is definitely useful in helping the reader understand the problem – as Robert points out, this is a problem that requires a thoughtful approach...it requires the developer to think about how the application will be used and then employ the appropriate technique.

Thoughts?

cc: John Coburn – thanks for bringing Robert's article to my attention.

I reckon that everything is a "/guides/this-doc-name/" unless it is specific "/guidelines" or "/start" type of document.

In my writing i generally avoid use of "I/you/we" by rewording. However i reckon that we should let authors use whatever style that they want.

Yes, it is the conversational nature of the document (with the first and second person pronouns) that makes it unlike other documents we have on dev.folio.org. But it is also the conversational tone that makes it more approachable as a teaching document rather than a prescriptual set of rules.

I'm going to think about this for another day, but I'm leaning towards putting it in dev.folio.org/guides.

I found that the document is now here: https://github.com/folio-org/stripes-components/blob/master/docs/patterns/AccessibleRouting.md

Okay. Can you add a link to dev.folio.org/guides?
