Filip Jakobsen, we received user feedback on this issue. Are you okay with this user story removing the redundant messaging thus addressing the user feedback? |

Khalilah Gambrell Are you suggesting we remove the "Please select to continue" messaging just from this field on this page or from all fields that use it on all pages? I believe we display this text on all forms in FOLIO when the focus moves out of an unpopulated, required field. We display other real-time validation, as well, when focus moves out of a field with invalid data. Are you suggesting that is redundant, as well? Just trying to understand the concern and the proposed solution. Thanks! |

Cate Boerema - the user feedback was the following "Circulation > Scan ID, unclear if 'please select to contiue' should be red and for what purpose." I will explain to the participant that this is a pattern but I think we should change the message from "please select to continue" to something clearer for the user. Here are some options. |

Is this feedback from just one user? Because it seems like a lot of work to make this change across folio because one user didn't like this language. Or are you saying we change the wording just on this one page? Sorry if you answered that already. Ultimately, I am fine with whatever. I'll leave it to you to decide if this usability improvement is worth the effort and to file the necessary tickets. I just wanted you to be aware that this is the language we use in many places so there will need to be many updates if we are to remain consistent. Also, whatever decide for language should go into our style guide/design system site whenever Filip Jakobsen has it ready. Some examples of this language in folio - not sure where else we may be using it. |
