Closing this feature - due to lack of a description. Once a description is provided and there are details on an approach then we will re-open this feature.

I would say it's UX overhead, although it will help with responsiveness. I've assigned this issue to the overhead epic.

Cate Boerema June 10, 2018 at 2:35 PM

, , it's not clear to me what this is. Is it in support of Responsiveness? If so, can you please indicate that the epic = UI Responsiveness (). Or is it some kind of basic UX infrastructure? If so, let's make the epic UX Overhead (). OR, is it a user feature of some kind that will add value to end users? If it's a user feature, let's make the epic UX Enhancements () and give this a better summary and description. The early adopters will be prioritizing the features in the UX Enhancement epic so the descriptions and summaries have to be self-explanatory. Thanks!

Estimation Notes and Assumptions

Code for an initial release of this component is written. The main analysis rests in seeing if it creates any performance issues when used on views that make use of a layout grid (edit view of ui-users is one of these, and will be used as a testbed.) After its release, it should be fairly easy for UI-modules to make use of it - but that will be a gradual adoption.
