Current situation or problem: ** FOLIO prevents the deletion on an item with an on-order status. However, it does not prevent the deletion of a holdings record associated with a POL, nor does it warn the staff user of this association prior to deletion.

If a staff user deletes the holdings record in Inventory, this will leave an invalid reference on the corresponding POL, which can cause problems when trying to save updates to the POL.

In scope

• Prevent deletion of the holdings record OR include a warning that the holdings record is associated with a POL in FOLIO with information about the impact of deletion.
