- might have uncovered similar problem in MSU's FOLIO environment - see: Slack (#metadata-management, and #folio-implementers) - https://folio-project.slack.com/archives/CAM25LTGV/p1597343058096700.
Brooks Travis movie shows instance record with source = MARC but the View source action is greyed out.

Hi I checked on Goldenrod Bugfest, which has a comparable number of records. View source seems to come back quickly. In Goldenrod, we did a lot of performance work on retrieving records from SRS. I'm going to close this as cannot reproduce. Once you've upgraded to Goldenrod, please let me know if you're still seeing this issue. Thank you!

Hi - sure, Folijet can take a look at it
Have you upgraded to Fameflower. Could you confirm if this is still an issue in your environment?
Thank you!

When reading the description of why the slow performance is getting the View source button on a large record set - then this seems more as an Ann-Marie Breaux and SRS issue to me. Anything you want to own ?

, I think this should be transformed into a PERF issue. Looks like a very high priority one, too.

I have SRS and Inventory loaded on a local server with around 9M bibs. On this server, the View Source button appears and becomes clickable quickly on searches that return a small result set (less than 400), but on a large result set, (around 40,000), the button appears only after 5 minutes. The size of the result set seems to determine the length of the wait. My guess is that human-readable marc is being fetched in the background for the entire result set before it becomes available for view in any one record. That maybe should be changed to do a background fetch for the current page only. My server is running Edelweiss.
