Search filter "Keyword (title, contributor, identifier)"

Description

Purpose: Chalmers finds that the search term All (title, contributor, identifier) makes it ambiguous whether the filter encompasses all fields or only the fields specified in the parenthesis _(title, contributor, identifier).

The MM-SIG recommend to change the wording to: Keyword (title, contributor, identifier) - discussed at Search and sort hands-on session on 6/18/2019.

Scenario:

  1. Login to FOLIO Snapshot, go to Inventory

  2. In the first pane, the Search box will display: Keyword (title, contributor, identifier)

I only tested it as a UI change, no actual search change...

Cate Boerema September 30, 2019 at 7:31 AM

did you fix this? I always interpreted this as a ui-only change to the text displaying in the search options menu. Were there also changes to the search logic as part of this?

Ann-Marie Breaux September 29, 2019 at 6:20 AM

tested on folio-snapshot. All looks good - closing this ticket.

Thank you, the fix is ready for PO code review on https://folio-snapshot-stable.aws.indexdata.com/inventory?filters=&sort=Title .

, can you please define what the expected behavior is for this fix? I'll put it in draft for now.
