Should we support direct database changes?

Description

FOLIO core developers are expected to offer support to existing installations, for example, Chalmers.

I think it is important that we agree the extent of support that is offered.

One example of this is where folks are directly changing the database structure or records in the database.

Should this be supported by the core teams?
